Desde que Diana Riesco Lind inició sus estudios de arte, la presencia de la Amazonía se manifestó en su obra, desde reinterpretaciones de la iconografía shipiba-koniba ―que podían sintetizar el curso de los ríos en aplicaciones gráficas sobre piezas de cerámica― hasta representaciones hiperrealistas de paisajes protagonizados por caminos de tierra, hierbas, hojas, ramas, charcos y quebradas. Su incansable búsqueda de un lenguaje artístico propio la ha llevado además a explorar distintas tradiciones y tendencias, para reinventarlas desde su experiencia. This year, as last year,  I  co-cordinated Noche de Musica y Arte , fundraiser for the American Women's Literay Club. I was in charge of all the  art exhibition from the curatorial work to the graphic design for the event.  It was hard work but quite a success. Artists showed and sold their work,  half of the  money form the art sales went to  the artist and the  other half to the educational fund of the AWLC witch  sponsors  Enseña Peru (Institution  that sends top professionals right out of Universities to teach in challenging  location Peru ) and The Pedagogical institute of Monterrico teaches Peruvian future Teachers. The event  felt very warm and welcoming. There was a lovely  piano concert, cocktail and art exhibition.
